What is miswak?
The miswak sticks are the valuable crop of a semi-equatorial tree belongs to the Salvadoran family called Salvadoran percica.
This tree is always green all the seasons, farmed in Abha, Asseer and Jazan regions India, and in many regions in Africa especially in the Nile valley. From the outside look, the miswak tree is similar to the pomegranate tree, its tips are spun like, and its leaves are smooth and lighting green, flowering in spring.
This flowers come out small wields just like chick-peas, have a good taste, and involved in many pharmaceutical manufactures. The sewak often taken from the roots of the trees that have 2-3 years in the soil. On the other hand, some people cut the small branches and use it as a sewak for brushing the teeth, but it is improved scientifically that the branches are less in active substances than the roots.
