Children often get injured directly in teeth and jaws during play and can also be knocked out during fights, in car accidents and even as a result of a fainting spell. Often these injuries in the future has an influence on the mouth , teeth and the overall shape and(in some cases) may result some bad psychological effects that may occur if a child lost his teeth at this early age .

These precious teeth can be saved and replanted successfully , It all depends on you at the time of the accident .
Parents should in cases of broken children’s teeth go immediately to the dentist .
knowing that there are several steps that should be taken before going to the doctor .
Starting in the place which the injuried occurred If the injury was, for example a park or school yard, street the child should get a vaccination for tetanus .
Also it takes into account that in case of a broken tooth parents must search for the broken part of the tooth to give it to the doctor so he could reinsert it again by modern materials.
And if the teeth accidentally knocked out , ( the entire tooth to fall out) in this case if it was a primary teeth there is no need to do anything before going to the dentist.
On the other hand if it was a permanent one
Important steps should be done
*Although it would be best to replace the knocked-out tooth back into its own socket, this may be difficult to do at the site of the accident.
During an emergency, most people would be in shock and too traumatised by the accident to think straight!
Few people will have the presence of mind to find the missing tooth and then the courage to replace the tooth back into a socket (gaping hole). Expecialliy in a screaming child. Then there is the question of if the tooth should fit correctly into the socket. Most times, multiple teeth are knocked-out and it is difficult to know in which socket a tooth belongs. There may also be more serious injuries that require more urgent/immediate attention, such as broken bones, presence of foreign bodies, lacerations and bleeding. The patient may also be in severe pain and may not allow replantation without anesthesia
If you are not able to replant the knocked-out tooth immediately, the next best thing is to let the professionals – YOUR DENTIST, do it.
To transport the tooth to your dentist for proper assessment and management as soon as you can and in a proper way you should do these steps!
Step 1
-If the tooth is dirty, gently rinse with water
(do not wrap it in a piece of tissue or handkerchief. STOP! This not only causes crushing damage to the delicate root cells, it also dehydrates the cells.)
-Keep the tooth moist (Simply put the knocked-out teeth into milk)
Step 2
- Ask the patient to bite on the gauze.
Step 3
- Clean any open wound with disinfectant OR the Sterile Alcohol Swab and apply the plaster or dressing to control bleeding.
Step 4
- Go to your dentist immediately.
