Have you seen Comme des Garçons Homme 2012 fall/winter menswear collection?! Since I can’t see any wow or shock marks on your face, I can get that you’ve not!! I’m saying so, as Comme des Garçons Homme Plus fashion house has shocked everyone with its victorian inspired and punkish, yet romantic fall/winter 2012 collection for men. For your information, the unknown soldier behind that punky menswear collection is Rei Kawakubo. When you look at that collection, you can’t define whether it’s for males or females!! Rei Kawakubo has managed herself to create the most blurred gender fashion trends, although all of those fashion trends are only for men. When you see the collection for the first time, you may think that the designer hasn’t made that on purpose and it might be just a mistake of your side. You may even keep telling yourself ” It’s my fault, I’ll take a look at it later!!”.. But you have to know it’s neither your fault nor your misunderstanding! The designer has made that on purpose, as she has introduced some items which are most of the time being worn only by the women. She’s completed that idea by making the models wear long mullet wigs! So, what shall you do about that?! Kawakubo has presented the following items to be in the vogue for men in the fall/winter 2012 season; knee length pleated skirts, long pleated trousers, Bermudas and shorts. Besides that, the collection has also included blazers and voluminous trapeze topcoats.. Kawakubo has grafted some of those items by some puzzling, yet feminine drawings and that’s besides using the dot prints. Despite the feminine touches that has covered that collection, Kawakubo has played with those items to give very manly and strict looks. Oops, I forgot to tell you that Comme des Garçons Homme Plus fall/winter 2o12 menswear collection has relied on a strict combination of colors. That’s beside relying on light, yet cozy fabrics. After telling you what sort of colors & fabrics is used, I think there’s nothing more to say except “Good Byes!!”.
