Most of the plastic surgeries which take place across the world involve stretching of the face muscles. As the famous saying goes “prevention is better than cure” you don’t have to wait for wrinkles to appear or for the muscles to get very relaxed that you would need a plastic surgery which, in most cases, has to be repeated every now and then in a short span of time. That’s why we advise you to do facial exercises that relax your face muscles, rejuvenate and soften your skin.

A true smile needs a group of muscles to work. These muscles are found around the mouth and you can voluntarily move them. They are also found around the eyes and these are not moved except by true emotions.

A true and genuine smile is the right way of expressing happiness and true feelings. When you smile the raised cheek muscles lift the corners of your mouth up. The cheek muscles pull the skin around the corners of the eyes inwardly. When your emotions grow stronger this muscle is strongly moved.

This exercise helps decrease the lines and wrinkles around the mouth and strengthens the surrounding muscles. Press your lips inwards together and keep a straight smile. Start massaging the area around your mouth in circular motions starting from the center of your upper lip using your two forefingers until you reach the center of your lower lip. Keep your lips stretched during the exercise until you start to feel they’ve grown numb. Start messaging around your mouth in a circular motion while smiling and keeping your mouth stretched.

The skin around the eyes is delicate and sensitive and cannot stand being pulled because this may have counter effects. So, you should press the areas lightly using the tips of your fingers making a circle starting from between the eyebrows then go down to the corners of the eyes where most of the lines and wrinkles are until you reach the starting point. Repeat the last steps for 10 times.

Open your mouth wide and tilt your head backwards a little bit. Open and close your mouth as if you are chewing something. Repeat this 10 times.

For the cheeks:

Fill your mouth with air and close it firmly while moving your lower jaw as if you are doing a gargle. Make sure that no air gets out of your mouth. Repeat 10 times and you can also encourage blood circulation by tapping your cheeks lightly with the tips of your fingers.

Fourth exercise:

It is a neck exercise. You can do it to keep your neck skin firm and soft. Put your thumb under your chin and let your tongue touch the upper jaw until you feel that the chin muscle is stretched. After wards, put down your thumb and keep your tongue raised inside your mouth. Stretch your neck upwards and move your neck to the left. Repeat this motion slowly to the right. Now put your fingers at the bottom of your neck and massage quickly upwards towards the jaw. At the same time continue moving your neck right and left. Repeat this exercise 10 times.

Extending your eyelids:

Look straight in front of you and raise your eyebrows and put four of your fingers under your eyebrows. Press the eyebrow bones gently and close your eyelids. Count to 6 then release the pressure off your eyebrows, count to 6 and then open your eyelids and relax. Take a deep breath and repeat the exercise.
