Fall and Thanksgiving 2012 Table Setting with Oak and Acorn Theme

Most of us love the combination between brown and green in home decoration and home goods. Besides the elegant look they form, one would find it a great idea to use these colors in setting a beautiful autumn themed Thanksgiving table. You won’t need to buy expensive stuff, nor should you worry about your guests’ taste as such colors often look sophisticated when used together: something that no one can resist. Our tablescape today depends on an acorn theme, brown and green tableware and decorations and shades of beige since it is the best background for the setting. Elegant prints are obviously seen on the plates, which are simply printed with autumn leaves all around the edges, and thin weave cloth sheets spread below each plate setting.

Layering the plates has been a good hint about how this table was decorated as it shows the colors as they exactly exist in nature: a brown acorn tureen on top, followed by a printed autumn plate and a dark green one below. Napkins have been perfectly chosen in light green where the rings came with an elegant metal green leaf. Small decorative acorns spread on each side of the table, where a small bowl of acorns appears like an art piece with its edges carved in yellow and brown autumn leaves. The centerpiece didn’t only depend on the acorn bowls; there have also been some candles in wooden bowls and glass cups spreading around the centerpiece with some beautiful fabric and natural acorn figures.

The big serving dishes came in fantastic wide acorn shapes; they look exactly like the real ones with their carved tops and sparkling leaf decorations on one side. The rest of the cutlery, like the forks, spoons and knives, has come with wooden hands and diagonal carvings. Water goblets have come in dark green with vertical lining and transparent stands; they could bring the feeling of a royal dinner from the 18th century.
