Gucci house revealed its fall/winter 2012 menswear collection during Milan fashion week. That collection was nothing but a series of glamorous, elegant and classy items. You may also say that it was handsome and stunning, yet modern. The designer of Gucci fall/winter 2012 menswear collection got inspired in that collection mainly by the 19th century which was full of romance and decadence. Specifically, the designer got inspired by all the famous manly icons in that era; the painters, soldiers and poets. Everything about that collection was full of charm and you may even say magic! The designer behind such a charming collection was Frida Giannini who is the creative director of Gucci fashion house. Frida relied on using very luxurious fabrics like; velvet, leather and jacquard besides the tapestrylike weaves and flower-printed fabrics. Besides those luxurious fabrics, Frida tended to use a classy and hot combination of colors like; red, bottle green, black and dark blue besides other colors. From those colors & fabrics, Frida created all those stunning and classy items that were presented by Gucci fall/winter 2012 menswear collection. I think that you’re curious to know what are those items, aren’t you?! So, let’s go deeper to discover some, if not all, of those presented items. The most eye-catching and charming items that the collection presented were the coats; specifically the tossing sweeping overcoats. Besides those overcoats, the collection also presented jackets in various styles and shapes. Some of those jackets were made from velvet and were either grafted with floral prints or just presented in a strict pure way, I mean without any grafts. While the other presented jackets were made either of distressed leather or wool. Whatever the fabric used in creating any of those presented jackets is, all of them had very elegant and classy looks. Besides the overcoats & jackets, the collection also included knitted sweaters and blazers. The last mentioned items starting from the coats to the knits were paired with either skinny trousers or trousers with dark botanical prints. Let me not forget to tell you that the collection also included slim suits which were made of different fabrics. Besides all the mentioned clothing items, Gucci fall/winter 2012 menswear collection made a space for men’s accessories like briefcases, bags and sunglasses. That’s besides including high riding boots. So, you can say that the designer wanted to give the men community a complete, yet stunning fall/winter 2012 menswear collection.. Regardless of the reason that she added them for, she prove that with Gucci, men would never lose their elegance, classiness, and confidence!
