Luxury residences aren’t uncommon in Hollywood, but The Residences at W Hollywood are a cut above, in more ways than one. They’re located at the famed intersection of Hollywood and Vine streets, and they’re some of the most exclusive dwellings in the city — affording residents the best of everything, including a concierge service whose motto is, “Whatever. Whenever.” When it came time to update their facility, they “worked closely with L.A.’s top landscape architecture firms to create a true park environment for residents” — and one key partner with this development was Rios Clementi Hale Studios (RCH). The designers went to work on the Amenity Deck, a rooftop “park” that, like the building it crowns, is one of a kind. RCH created a new” living room” with an openwork overhead canopy and white-cushioned lounge furniture; dappled sunlight comes in during the day, city lights at night.
Further updates continued with a new BBQ area and bar, plus a new gym façade; lush new plantings, as well as an outdoor kitchen area, make the spot convenient and inviting for residents. Along with new Ipe decking came expanded seating around the pool, and customized fire pits shaped in curves that matched the new pool bench. But best of all, as the designers explain, “Our updates restored direct views to the Hollywood Sign and the Capitol Records building, as well as other Hollywood landmarks.” An iconic location, a prime luxury dwelling, and views of the legendary landmarks and “hot spots” that make Hollywood what it is: it’s a winning combination for W Hollywood Residences, with one of the most elegant and user-friendly “parks” in California.
