A breathtakingly beautiful chuppa, a bride swathed in chiffon, and snowflakes filtering over the dance floor (in lights, that is!) are all parts of a glorious wedding celebration here, pictured by world-renowned photographer Jerry Ghionis. The setting is sumptuous; a mansion with elegant statuary and gilded decorations, chandeliers, and vintage art, as the bride makes her way down a winding staircase toward a “reveal” that is art itself. Her gown is strapless, a cascade of ruffles and lace; her veil is yards of gossamer-fine chiffon that flows from her up-do and curls. Beneath a chuppa of lavish, cascading cream-colored flowers and white branches, the families pose for photos, and then the sacred ceremony takes place. As the groom crushes the ceremonial glass, the guests rejoice with the newlyweds.
Then, it’s time for dinner, dancing, and magic. After the couple dances their first dance as man and wife, it’s time for each to circle the floor with in-laws and extended family. Banquet tables graced with tall centerpieces that echo the chuppa’s floral opulence create a sparkling ambience, and the traditional hora dance is full of fun and spirit for young and old alike. The bride pauses for a few moments to savor the experience, watching and listening as guests offer loving toasts and blessings. And, as sparkling lights fill the air with “glitter” and lighted snowflakes, the parents take their leave, the guests say goodbye, and the couple takes a moment of pure bliss together, at a glowing table just for two.
