Any time is right for red, but winter especially seems to call for it. (Maybe it’s Santa’s influence.) Stylish Eve is presenting a collection of red outfits for women for winter 2013. If you are a true red lover, you will want our outfits that include too much red, like the one with a red coat, scarf, and accessories. If you are not quite that outspoken, you can choose just a touch of red, such as the red shoes or floral bag. Red is not necessarily easy to pair, because there are many, many reds; but for any garment or accessory, there IS a red SOMEWHERE that would be marvelous with it. So never hesitate to try your red piece with anything at all (forget the old rules about red & purple, for example), but don’t leave the house without a second opinion! Remember that you can count on red to play nicely with black, white, grey, most greens, most blues, many pinks, and beige.
Our collages don’t show all the varieties of red (we haven’t seen all the varieties of red) or all the acceptable color combinations; there are just too many. These collages are meant to get you started on your own ideas. If you want to wear a red casual outfit, for example, start with jeans and a red leather jacket, or red jeans with a pullover. If you’re going dressier, try something like our classic skirts or pants with a red blouse, the red sheath with a classic coat, or the LBD with the red coat. Mix and match, and see what you like. Finally, we don’t have to tell you red is a celebratory color for parties, but do let us tell you how you can find more about that elegant red evening gown and fur cape—including where to get it—and everything else we’re showing.
