Silver Christmas Tablescape with Birdcage Decorations

This tablescape will seem quite special for winter and legend lovers. The whole theme is made in silver and white to match with the winter colors and create a good change other than the traditional red and green theme. The table is made with a white birdcage that appears clearly below in the pictures, with some crystal decorations, and snowflakes above. The whole idea has come from a big birdcage with a round gazebo-like decoration above. The beauty of this tablescape comes from the upper gazebo part with white and lavender colored crystals stuck on it.

The table cloth used with this setting is in plain silver organza that spreads all over big square white cotton sheets, sewn with silver ribbons on the edges, and diagonally placed below each plate to hang over the table. The napkins too are made of cotton and wrapped with silver organza. The white chairs are also decorated with long white organza sheets, tied on the back of each chair, and decorated with bird nest wreaths. Each bird nest is made of a dark colored grapevine wreath, silver-painted crystal branches and small flowers in blue and white. The whole appearance is very romantic, despite expressing a winter ambiance.

The depicted white dinnerware played a great role in the birdcage theme thanks to the lavender colored Asiatic pheasants fluttering amongst floral bouquets. The plates are not typical English transferware; they are actually original Swedish pieces made by Gustavsberg in the late 19th century. Besides the dish layering manner, a silver hand beaded charger spreads below a metal charger that is beaded with crystals on its outer ranges.

The centerpiece of this table is the cage topper. Luckily, it has already been taking a gazebo shape, and the topper pillar has given it a touch of royalty. The cage top has been wrapped by organza garland/ sheet in the same color silver, and the other decorations came as floral garlands in white and blue. There have also been crystal garlands wrapped with floral ones to create a lovely shade of lilac/ lavender with glimmer. The table is decorated with silver-painted candles and plastic snowflakes with some silver glitter.
