A Spring Wedding Day of Romance, Roses, and… Leashes!
River Farm, located just south of Old Town Alexandria, VA, is 25 acres of gardens and woods at the edge of the Potomac River, an estate turned into the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society. If that sounds like the kind of place you’d love to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony, take a look at these fetching pictures from Jodi Miller Photography and be inspired! Of course, one of the more enchanting elements of this wedding is its setting in springtime: notice the lavishly blossoming trees everywhere, their petals sprinkled on the ground; it’s a touch that says “romance” from the very first moment. Another romantic trademark: roses, which find their way onto the stamp for the wedding invitation, as well as into our bride’s breathtaking bouquet.
Of course, this wedding also has more than its share of lighthearted moments: note the black and white pups, clearly attendants of honor for the happy couple, who are decked out in bow ties and get a generous amount of doggie “face time” in the pictures. And there’s no denying the sense of fun in wedding treats that include bottles of root beer and bags of jelly beans! But the overarching mood here is romance, from the demure bride’s veil to a shot of the newly married pair walking hand-in-hand into the sunset. Set in a historic backdrop, against acres of flowering trees, sculpted gardens, and riverside scenery, this springtime wedding may just be the perfect picture of how you want your romantic day to look.
