Thakoon Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Thakoon a Thai-born is an American fashion designer; he created very feminine and romantic designs for the spring 2011 ready to wear collection, using the white as his dominant color and the cotton as the base fabric. Pale and pretty were the two sides of the same coin; this is the simple description for this collection. The show started by very elegant, chic and stylish white ensembles such as an adorable white cotton twill breakaway jacket with subtle details including the asymmetrical front button closure, horizontal tabs at front/ back and peplum waist on a short mini skirt; white two pieces suit having wide straight floor length pant, double row buttons closure and dual side pockets; strapless mini white dress with pleating at waist and layered skirt under a vertical striped blouse; blue cotton one-shoulder short dress with tie belt at waist and silver hook-and-eye at shoulder and skirt; Beautiful blue and white V-neck vest with layered striped and hook-and-eye closure on a three quarter wide pant. Floral print sleeveless dress decorated with hook-and-eye; metallic python jacket with partial hook-and-eye closure on gray short skirt and white sleeveless cotton blouse with front button closure and scarf tie neck; printed long tank dress with shoulder straps. Also a wide range of models were available including long and short dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, pants, suite, short and jackets. Thakoon created different effects using various fabrics such as twill, cotton, chiffon, denim, silk, organza, crepe georgette, poplin, satin, lace, and so much more textures. Also he chose the matching colors such as the shades of blue, apricot, vanilla, black and gray to complete the whole figure.
