Tripping the Light Fantastic in an Atlanta Wedding

If you look forward to weddings to “dance the night away,” you’ll probably be able to picture yourself having a ball at this Atlanta, GA, celebration as presented by wedding photographer Stephen DeVries. The bride has her own distinctive style — a flowing chiffon gown and peach-tinted flats that will allow her plenty of mobility up the aisle and beyond. Her bouquet is bright splashes of orange, yellow, and red, fall flowers intertwined with bridal white. Her groom and his attendants are in elegant gray and blue with a bright checkered tie that echoes the bouquet colors…and a watch, passed from man to man, alerts the groom that he’d better get to the church on time!

In short gowns of plain cream chiffon with colorful baubles at the waistline, the maids gather with the bride for prayer and moral support; then it’s time for a long walk up the stairs, the bride on her father’s arm. No nerves here, though: both bride and groom are all smiles and laughter in their post-ceremony photos — everything from “shocked” pictures showing off their rings to “naughty” looks where they’re clearly playing up to the camera. When it’s time to treat the guests, the bride’s cake is all white cream topped with flowers, and the groom’s chocolate cake garnished with strawberries. After tripping the light fantastic with their family and friends, the bride and groom dance away in the glow of sparklers, on the way to their happy future together.
