Pier Paolo Piccioli, one of the biggest designers of the house of Valentino, launched the Spring 2011 collection which was described by the designer as a “back to the elegance”. In this fashion show, clothes are talking about themselves; the collection is characterized by a soft elegance coming through the delicacy of dresses which highlights the feminine side in every woman. As spring is always related to short dresses; this collection contains different designs for short dresses as well as some nice models of both long and maxi styles. Beside red and yellow dresses, almost all colors came pale and gentle including white, off-white, green, light gray, camel and golden yellow. Different styles of dresses were presented; morning dresses, cocktail dresses and formal dresses. Fabrics used in this collection are delicate and tender as they were coming to confirm the meaning of the word “feminism”; the designer used organza, lace, chiffon, tulle as well as cotton and leather. The long dress in this collection came very simple but equally chic with a subtle design and soft materials. Short dresses are very stylish and give a feeling of lightness and agility. Cocktail and party dresses are very elegant without too much pearls and details. This collection is dedicated to the modern woman who wants to feel up-to-date and trendy while enjoying the nice feminine feeling of wearing dresses in a joyful season like the spring.
