Gianni Versace was born in the mid-1940s in the southern Italian port city of Reggio Calabria, which is famous for its beaches. He Started his career in 1984 and Gianni Versace perfume was an offshoot of Versace’s wildly successful career designing clothing lines and accessories for both men and women. Versus Uomo perfume, the legendary male perfume, is classified as fresh – woody – oriental fragrance that was introduced in 1991, a year before its female pair, the red Versus Donna perfume. Versus Uomo perfume is very masculine and attractive; it greets you with a fresh and sweet pleasure of mandarin, lime, bergamot, green notes, shiny lemon, lavender, orange and oil essence of petit grain (citrus). The heart ticks with peppery bitter floral notes of carnation, coriander, sweet and clear jasmine, mildly earth notes of orrisroot, palisander and rose wood. The base is warmly soft but intensive, thanks to amber, benzoin, cedar, musk, sandalwood, Tonka and vanilla. The bottle form of Versus Uomo Perfume for Men by Versace is the same as Versus Donna’s, only in dark blue glass with a blue stopper.
